Cameron Roberts Biography

Essendon assistant coach Cam Roberts will leave the Bombers at the end of the 2026 season.

"When I first arrived, I simply wanted to contribute and help people improve. To have had the chance to work alongside such committed players, coaches and staff over the past seven seasons has been a privilege," Roberts said.

"I'm proud of the relationships we've built and the progress we've made together. I'll always be grateful for the support the club has shown me and my family.

"I'll leave knowing Essendon has an exciting future ahead."

Essendon's VFL senior assistant and development coach Cam Roberts is promoted to the club's new head of development role.

"Cam's life and coaching experiences, relationships, positive attitude, and planning processes, made him a perfect candidate for this role and we look forward to Cam heading up a great group of development coaches and pulling together a program that improves all Essendon players," Essendon football manager Josh Mahoney said.
