Draft Profile: An energetic small forward who is dangerous inside-50, El Achkar's speed and goal sense are real weapons. He also brings great pressure, with a willingness to tackle and harass the opposition to generate opportunities. A member of the Bachar Houli Academy, El Achkar showed plenty of potential this year, kicking 37 goals in all competitions, including 28 goals for the Calder Cannons in the Coates Talent League, where also averaged 12.7 disposals per game. Kicked six goals for Victoria Metro during the National Championships and had a taste of VFL with Essendon, booting three goals in his only game against the Brisbane Lions. He is a member of Essendon's Next Generation Academy program and has trained with the Bombers this year.
