Collingwood inform father-son prospect Tom McGuane it won't be committing to him as a national pick in this year's draft, but are keeping the door ajar for a rookie position.

The son of Mick McGuane, who impressed in testing at the Telstra State Draft Combine, will now be available in the open draft.
