Bruce Reville once worked at an abattoir and drove forklifts for Bunnings, but has now become a cult hero at the Lions who will be playing in the 2025 Grand Final.
"I knew I wanted to be an AFL footballer and that's why I moved to Bunnings," Reville explained of his decision to stop working 12-hour shifts at an abattoir.
"I thought about it every day. I loved Bunnings, and the people there were amazing, but it was something I didn't want to do for the rest of my life.
"And now I'm here it means so much more, what I went through."
