Dan Curtin will undergo surgery that will sideline him until at least round seven, after suffering a knee injury during a pre-season session.

"We are thankful Dan has avoided any bone or ligament damage in the dislocation," Crows high performance boss Ian McKeown said.

"However, Dan has had several partial dislocations previously, dating back to his junior basketball days.

"Given this, it's been determined the best course of action is to undertake a procedure which will provide more support and stability around the patella."

Dan Curtin switched to a wing role in the pre-season and hasn't looked back, playing every game in 2025 thus far.

"It was completely new to me, but they just wanted me to play wing and gave me a few pointers here and there. From there, the coaches have really liked what they've seen and made it a bit more of a consistent theme throughout the year," Curtin said.

"I'm really happy playing wing and looking forward to each challenge each week, and I've definitely learned a lot this year, because junior footy was pretty much all about midfield. I definitely had no clue as to what was involved in the wing role back then."
