Judd McVee Biography

Judd McVee is now a Fremantle player after the Dockers and the Demons agreed to a trade, with Fremantle sending pick 23 in the 2025 Telstra AFL Draft to Melbourne in exchange for the 22-year-old defender.

"To bring in a player of Judd's quality while also maintaining a presence in the first round of the upcoming Telstra Draft is an outcome we're really pleased with," Fremantle Head of Player Personnel David Walls said.

"Still just 22 years old with 65 AFL games already under his belt, we think he fits the age profile of our list nicely and still has plenty of growth left in him."

Judd McVee will seek a trade from the Demons to Fremantle after deciding on a return to Western Australia.

Judd McVee will be sidelined for up to eight weeks due to a high-grade hamstring injury suffered during training.

"He'll complete a thorough rehab program with the guidance of our medical and high performance teams, and we're confident he'll be back in the early part of the season," Melbourne general manager of AFL football performance Alan Richardson said.

Judd McVee is the AFL Rising Star nominee for round 18 of 2023.

McVee hasn't missed a game since his debut for the Demons in round one.

Judd McVee makes his AFL debut for Melbourne at the MCG with 14 disposals (11 kicks and 3 handballs), 3 marks and a tackle in a 50-point win over the Western Bulldogs.
