Taj Woewodin is delisted by Melbourne after four years and 21 games at the club.

Draft Report: It's been a year of big improvement for the son of Brownlow Medallist Shane, who is set to land at the Demons as a father-son selection. Woewodin wasn't picked in WA's under-16 side in 2019 and spent most of last year playing college football for Aquinas and but after putting in the work to improve most parts of his game stormed into draft contention in 2021. He averaged 23 disposals and 117 ranking points, and booted nine goals in 15 matches, as captain of East Fremantle's Colts side. Woewodin is dedicated, clean, and skilful and has an impressive burst of speed, as he highlighted with the second-fasted 20m sprint time at the draft combine.

Melbourne says it is keen to draft Taj Woewodin as a father-son pick, but admits that an unexpectedly early bid on him may scupper their plans.

"We've sat down with Taj and his family and outlaid our plans, and where that sits, and if the planets align, fantastic. But if a bid was to come really early, that might change the landscape," Melbourne recruiting manager Jason Taylor said.
