Jackson Archer will miss the entire 2026 season after tearing his ACL at training.

It continues a horror injury run for the 23-year-old, who played just three games in 2025 after hamstring and ankle injuries ruined his campaign, in addition to a controversial suspension early in the year.

Jackson Archer will be sidelined for up to eight weeks after suffering a high-grade left hamstring injury against Essendon.

"We anticipate Jackson will miss approximately eight weeks, but that timeline will depend on his early rehab progress," Todd Viney, North footy boss, said.

Jackson Archer is the round 21 AFL Rising Star nominee for 2024 after tallying 20 disposals, eight marks, and five tackles in the Kangaroos' victory over Richmond.

Jackson Archer makes his AFL debut for North Melbourne at Blundstone Arena with 15 disposals (5 kicks and 10 handballs), 3 marks and 2 tackles in a 57-point loss to Adelaide.
