Collingwood select Nick Daicos with pick No.4 in the 2021 National Draft.
Draft Report: The son of Collingwood great Peter Daicos, and brother of current Magpie Josh Daicos, is a class above the rest in Victoria and if he had greater opportunity to prove his talents this year, he may have been viewed as the clear standout across the country. The father-son prodigy combines prolific ball winning with outstanding footy IQ, exquisite skills, goalkicking nous up forward, versatility, the list goes on. In the NAB League, Daicos averaged a monumental 35 disposals, 22 kicks, six marks, five clearances and two goals across five matches. He strengthened his claims as a No.1 pick contender by blowing up the stats sheet in the Victorian Challenge match, logging 41 disposals, 10 marks, six clearances and two goals. Strangely grew up a Carlton supporter after going to school with the Silvagni's, but will now realise his dreams of joining his brother at Collingwood, where he's likely to be a walk-up start in Craig McRae's side next year.

Nick Daicos, son of Peter Daicos and brother of Josh, officially nominates to join the Magpies as a father-son selection in the upcoming draft.
Collingwood faces going into a draft points deficit in 2021 after trading out its first pick last season and with a very early bid on father-son Nick Daicos looming.
The Magpies swapped their future first-round selection to Greater Western Sydney in a live draft trade last season in exchange for picks 24, 30, and a 2021 fourth-round pick.
The club made the move because their first selection was expected to be swallowed up by matching a bid on Daicos, who has exploded into the 2021 draft season with a series of best-on-ground performances.
Nick Daicos, future Magpie and son of Collingwood champion Peter Daicos, surprisingly reveals that he was a Carlton supporter growing up.
"Marc Murphy was always my favourite player growing up and we played local footy with the Silvagnis and they got me to run out with the team, they got me a jumper, a locker, so it was an easy option for me," he said.
