Isiah Winder Biography

Isiah Winder is reported to have been charged with assault over an incident in Geelong last month while attending the AFL/AFLPA Indigenous and Multicultural Players Summit.

The Eagles said Winder had worked hard to regain the trust of players and staff before returning to train with the AFL squad.

"The club has also been informed that Winder has been charged with assault as a result of the incident in Geelong," West Coast said in a statement.

"As this matter is scheduled to go before the courts later this year, the club can make no further comment at this time."

Victoria Police is investigating an incident on the weekend involving Isiah Winder.

"The West Coast Eagles have been made aware of an incident in Geelong after the AFL/AFLPA Indigenous and Multicultural Players Summit on the weekend involving player Isiah Winder," a statement from West Coast read.

"The club will fully cooperate with Victoria Police and provide support to Isiah through the investigation."

West Coast select Isiah Winder with pick No.2 in the 2022 Rookie Draft.

Zane Trew and Isiah Winder have been delisted, but may be picked up in next month's rookie draft by the Eagles.

"While it is disappointing for Zane and Isiah, they remain a chance to return to the club via the rookie draft at the end of November," football manager Gavin Bell said in a statement.
