Miles Bergman Biography

Monday, 10 January 2022
Port Adelaide young gun Miles Bergman undergoes a second operation to stabilise his right shoulder after an issue arose with the initial surgery.

Bergman had a revision of the Laterjet procedure, after a routine check revealed a surgical screw from a previous off-season surgery had become loose.

Tuesday, 10 August 2021
Miles Bergman is the round 21 NAB AFL Rising Star nominee after an impressive performance in Port Adelaide's narrow win over the Crows.

Bergman gathered 23 disposals and had four tackles and four clearances, but more importantly, took a game-saving mark with seconds remaining as the Power held on to win an epic Showdown by four points.

Sunday, 21 March 2021
Miles Bergman makes his AFL debut for Port Adelaide at Docklands Stadium with 14 disposals (7 kicks and 7 handballs), 2 marks and 3 tackles in a 52-point win over North Melbourne.
Saturday, 20 February 2021
Miles Bergman is hoping a move to half-back and potentially the wing this season can help him break through for his first AFL game after an interrupted debut season.

Bergman was recruited with pick No.14 in the 2019 NAB AFL Draft as a medium midfielder/forward but injured his ankle as pre-season matches approached last year.

"I was hoping to get a game (last year), or as many as I could, and I was that close. But it's tough, especially when we were on top of the ladder all year and playing really good footy. Hopefully this year can be a bit different," Bergman said.

"It's good to be out there, because last pre-season I was injured for a lot of it. It's good to be fully fit and able to train with all the boys and I feel like all up it's going well."

Friday, 20 November 2020
Port Adelaide has re-signs its first three picks from the 2019 NAB AFL Draft including Miles Bergman, Mitch Georgiades and Dylan Williams, all of whom will remain at the club until the end of 2023.
