Luke Meadows looms as a mature-age depth option to a spot on Hawthorn's list.

Meadows signed with the Hawks' VFL affiliate Box Hill after his name wasn't called out in the national or rookie drafts in November.

He averaged more than 25 disposals and five tackles and placed ninth in the Sandover Medal with West Perth who reached the WAFL Grand Final in 2018.

"My game is definitely developing, but as for the other stuff, I haven't really thought too much about it. Ideally, it would be great, but I still have to go to work and still have to go to uni," Meadows said.

"Anyone playing footy aims for the highest level and if it was to happen to me, I'd be very happy. But I don't want to say too much at this stage."
