Tom Fullarton Biography

Friday, 26 January 2024
Tom Fullarton is facing a delayed start to the season after suffering a potential hamstring tendon injury during a match simulation session.
Friday, 13 October 2023
Tom Fullarton is traded from the Lions to the Demons for pick No.46, which the Demons received as part of their trade of Grundy to Sydney.

Fullarton has struggled for opportunities at Brisbane, playing just 19 games since being recruited as a Category B rookie in mid-2018, and didn't play a senior game in 2023.

"We're really pleased to welcome a tall and athletic player in Tom to the club," Melbourne list manager Tim Lamb said.

"We have seen what he is capable of, not only at senior level but through some dominant performances in the VFL. We look forward to seeing what he can produce as a Demon."

Sunday, 23 August 2020
Tom Fullarton makes his AFL debut for Brisbane at the Gabba with 8 disposals (4 kicks and 4 handballs), a mark, 2 tackles and a goal in a 2-point win over St Kilda.
Sunday, 20 January 2019
Tom Fullarton signs a contract extension with Brisbane to remain at the club until the end of 2021.

Fullarton, a 200cm tall forward who made the under-15 All Australian team before switching to basketball, played twice with the Lions' NEAFL team last season. He said the transition back to football had been a smooth one.

"It was always in the back of my mind when I was playing basketball that I could go back to footy and I'm glad I did," Fullarton said.

"Each day I've been coming in with an open mind to work on everything I can to catch up.

"Last year was my draft year anyway. I feel like I'm not far behind the mark. I've still got a lot to work on, but as long as I work hard I'll be able to make up that ground."
