Port Adelaide makes the early decision to delist Joe Atley, Wylie Buzza, Tobin Cox and Riley Grundy.

"We've reached the time of the year where we have to make difficult decisions about the direction we take with our playing list," Power head of football Chris Davies said.

"I would like to thank Joe, Riley, Tobin and Wylie for their efforts and professionalism during their time at the club, and the contribution they have made to our group.

"They will always be part of the Port Adelaide family, and we wish them well for the future on and off the field."

New Port Adelaide rookie Tobin Cox is happy to be on an AFL list after being overlooked in the 2017 draft following two surgeries on his right shoulder in the space of 18 months.

"I still had a few talks with clubs last year (despite only playing one game), and this year I thought if I could stay on the field then I'm a good chance," Cox, 19, said.

"I was pretty confident if I played well I'd have a good chance and I'm grateful to be here now."

Port Adelaide select Tobin Cox with pick No.9 in the 2018 Rookie Draft.

“Tobin was a highly rated 16 and 17-year-old but missed most of last year after injuring his shoulder,” Port Adelaide recruiting manager Geoff Parker.

“He’s a very clever, creative small forward who has played some league footy for Glenelg in the SANFL this year. He also represented South Australia in the Under 18 National Championships against Western Australia but was injured and missed the remainder of the championships.”
