The Crows delist Kieran Strachan.

Strachan was moved to the inactive list in February due to a foot injury and was subsequently ruled out for the 2025 season. The 30-year-old will remain at the Crows as a coach for the AFLW side.

"Kieran's selfless decision earlier this year to be placed on the inactive list should never be forgotten," Crows list boss Justin Reid said.

"It summed him up perfectly as a person, team-first and willing to do anything to help the side. We've loved having him for the past seven years and look forward to still seeing him around the club with the AFLW team."

Kieran Strachan is ruled out of the start of the 2025 season after undergoing surgery to repair a stress fracture in his right foot.

Strachan had reported soreness in his right foot after running, and scans last week showed he had suffered a stress fracture in the navicular bone.

He is expected to start running again in 10 weeks and won't be fit to play for at least four months.

Rebecca enjoyed a stellar netball career; the defender helped the Australian Diamonds win the 2015 world title before retiring at the end of 2018 with GWS.

"She's done it all, so I try and draw as much information off her," Strachan said.

"She's done the path that I'm now taking, so to get as much information it's been really helpful.

"Something I would like to strive for is that highest level, which for me is playing an AFL game."

“We’ve tracked him (Strachan) hard for two years," Adelaide recruiting manager Hamish Ogilvie said.

"He broke his ankle in the middle of the year, swapped from Essendon where he wasn’t getting a lot of ruck time, went to Port Melbourne, played a couple of pretty solid games and hurt his ankle again but we'd seen enough."
