Port Adelaide makes the early decision to delist Joe Atley, Wylie Buzza, Tobin Cox and Riley Grundy.

"We've reached the time of the year where we have to make difficult decisions about the direction we take with our playing list," Power head of football Chris Davies said.

"I would like to thank Joe, Riley, Tobin and Wylie for their efforts and professionalism during their time at the club, and the contribution they have made to our group.

"They will always be part of the Port Adelaide family, and we wish them well for the future on and off the field."

Port Adelaide delist youngsters Riley Grundy and Boyd Woodcock, but has committed to retaining the pair at next month's NAB AFL Rookie Draft.

"We'd like to approach the upcoming draft with as much flexibility as we can from a list numbers perspective," Port Adelaide's General Manager of Football Chris Davies said.

"Both Boyd and Riley are aware of this and have worked with us on this decision, putting the club’s needs first.

"As players, both boys have shown significant development in their football this year and we look forward to seeing more improvement when they return to Port Adelaide in 2020."

Port Adelaide Riley Grundy says he has learnt about what it takes to be an AFL footballer from his older brother, Brodie Grundy, who plays at Collingwood.

"Seeing Brodie and being able to go visit Collingwood when he would train was really good," Riley said.

"It gave me an insight into what it meant to be an AFL footballer, which I suppose a lot of people don't get that insight.

"I felt like I was very privileged to see my brother go through the AFL system before me."

Friday, 23 November 2018
Port Adelaide select Riley Grundy with pick No.73 in the 2018 National Draft.

“Riley only took footy up four or five years ago but is developing very well as a tall defender,” Port Adelaide recruiting manager Geoff Parker said.

“He’s very competitive and we wanted to get another developing tall defender onto our list so we had no hesitation when he became available.”
