"It's an unfortunate time of year when changes must be made due to pressure for list spots," Brisbane general manager football, Danny Daly said.

"All three are extremely hard-working individuals who represented themselves with great professionalism and diligence during their time at the club."

"I'm just trying to improve as quick as I can. They always said it was a big step up, but you don't really understand until you do it yourself," he said.

"I've got a lot of work to do to get there but I reckon if I keep asking questions and keep doing what I can, I reckon I could be a chance (to play this year)."

"We really targeted a midfielder, a big-bodied midfielder that could help us around the contest, and we think he can do that," Brisbane recruiting manager Steve Conole said.

"He's a big strong body, but for his size he's got fantastic athleticism.

"He'll take a little while. He's just come into the Murray Bushrangers' program in the last 18 months."
