After dealing with illness at the start of the 2019 season, Jackson Hately will play his first AFL match for the Giants this week against Fremantle in Canberra.
Hately says GWS midfield coach and St Kilda Hall of Famer Lenny Hayes has been a massive influence on his first few months in the League.
"Lenny has been unbelievable since I got here. He's been really special for my development, and I don't think I could ever learn enough off him," Hately said.
"He's given me a lot of confidence going into this week, so I'm just going to keep learning as much as I can."
Jackson Hately makes his AFL debut for GWS at Manuka Oval with 22 disposals (9 kicks and 13 handballs), 6 marks and 3 tackles in a 24-point loss to Fremantle.
