Tom Jok makes his AFL debut for Essendon at the MCG with 12 disposals (6 kicks and 6 handballs), 5 marks and 3 tackles in a 11-point loss to Collingwood.

Essendon select Tom Jok with pick No.8 in the 2018 Rookie Draft.

"Tom has a huge motor and has been around for a couple of years. He played for Collingwood in the VFL and really impressed us with the way he developed," Essendon list manager Adrian Dodoro said.

"We think he’ll be able to give us some versatility. He’ll actually come to the club close to our best athlete."

A pair of VFL players will train with St Kilda over the next few weeks as they push their case to be recruited by the Saints.

Collingwood's Tom Jok and Sandringham's Hayden McLean will join the first-to-fourth-year players who return to RSEA Park as the club begins its pre-season.
