Voted into Gold Coast's leadership group at just 21 years old, Noah Anderson has big ambitions for his team.

"That's because of guys like Dave Swallow and Touk (Miller) and Jarrod (Witts) who showed me how much they cared for the club and how much they valued it, and that's all I was really exposed to when I got here," he said.

"I can't speak about what happened before I was here, but from what I've seen it's a really special place and the players love the group and love playing for the footy club. That's where I've formed my passion for playing here."

Monday, 21 February 2022
Gold Coast will head into 2022 with Touk Miller to join Jarrod Witts to serve as co-captains of the club.

The change comes after David Swallow stepped down from the captaincy following four years at the helm alongside Witts.

Sam Collins is the vice-captain, while Swallow will be joined by third-year midfielder Noah Anderson, Sean Lemmens and Nick Holman in the seven-man leadership group.

Noah Anderson says he is happy to stay out of the spotlight compared to his other higher-profile young teammates.

"I just love only having to worry about footy and being able to relax off the field. The things that really drive me are teammate recognition and coach recognition and I got a lot of that last year," Anderson said.

"I feel like my teammates enjoy playing with me and my coaches have been recognising the hard work I've been putting in. That's all I need."

Matt Rowell and Noah Anderson's transition from Melbourne to Gold Coast has been made easier, with the top two picks from last year's NAB AFL Draft moving in to Suns chief executive Mark Evans' house.

"We're both staying together at Mark Evans' place, so we're not complaining there, it's a nice place and a good spot," Rowell said.

"Mark and his wife Lynne are great people and they're very easygoing, and if we need anything they're there so they're really good like that. We have good chats with them over the dinner table."

Tuesday, 1 October 2019
As part of an assistance package, the AFL hands Gold Coast the top pick in the 2019 AFL Draft in addition to the next best pick at No.2 already in their possession.

This has pleased prospective first selection Matt Rowell who likely be selected with his best mate and the clear second selection Noah Anderson by the Suns.

Given the club's past retention issues, pairing the two long-time friends and gun footballers could reinvigorate the struggling side as it aims to finally move up the ladder.

"Going up with a mate would make it easier," Rowell said.

"If I was to move interstate, it would be a bit harder because all of my family and stuff are back home. But I'm sure going up with a mate would make the transition easier."

Tuesday, 27 June 2017
Hawthorn will narrowly miss out on having priority access to Noah Anderson, the son of Hawks premiership player Dean Anderson, as a father-son recruit at the 2019 NAB AFL Draft.

Anderson looks a top talent, however the Hawks will not be able to secure him as a father-son, given Dean played 83 games there – short of the 100 required to be an eligible father-son pick.

"He's very sure and a very smooth mover, so he's an exciting prospect. He's been a high level basketballer as well, so those skills translate well to the footy field," Hawthorn's talent manager Craig Notman said.
