St Kilda delists Jarrod Lienert.

The mature-aged key defender enjoyed an impressive 11-game season, having only been signed in March, but won't be offered a new contract for the 2023 campaign.

"We brought Jarrod in following Nick Coffield’s ACL injury in February this year, and off a very limited pre-season he performed above our expectations," Saints list manager James Gallagher said.

"Jarrod was a great teammate throughout the season and embraced his second opportunity at senior level, never taking any of it for granted."

Jarrod Lienert will play for St Kilda in 2022 as a pre-season supplemental selection.

Lienert - who was sidelined for two months after knee surgery in May – gets his opportunity after impressive SANFL form in recent weeks.

It's his second year on the Power's rookie list having been a part of Sturt's premiership-winning team in 2016.

"He probably would've played well before this (if not for the knee surgery) and he's worked his way back and he's playing some really strong football," Power coach Ken Hinkley said.

"He's been playing as a key back, he's got a bit of pace, he's got a nice leg, some really positive things."
