Darcy Fort signs a new two-year deal while fellow Cats Quinton Narkle, Zach Guthrie, Ben Jarvis and Stefan Okunbor have all signed on for another season.

"We see Quinton, Darcy, Zach, Ben and Stefan as still having improvement in front of them," Cats head of football Simon Lloyd said.

"They each had limited opportunities this year, but all five players worked hard and got better. We are looking forward to their continued improvement."

Zach Guthrie makes his AFL debut for Geelong with 13 disposals (5 kicks and 8 handballs) and 2 marks in a draw with GWS.

The door is ajar for Geelong rookie Zach Guthrie to make his AFL debut this Sunday with the Cats moving injured forward Cory Gregson to the long-term injury list.

The Cats are yet to name a senior list replacement for Gregson, but Guthrie has staked his claim for promotion with a promising pre-season.

"I'd obviously love to play round one. That's been the goal since I did play in the first JLT game, so if I was lucky enough to get the opportunity, I'd be rapt," Guthrie said.

"If not, just look to go back and play the best footy I can in the VFL and hopefully, if possible, get a game later in the season."
