Jake Spencer will not be offered a new contract by Melbourne for the 2018 season while forward Liam Hulett and rookie Mitch White have also been let go.

Melbourne will retain developing pair Mitch White and Max King on the rookie list for the 2016 season.

"Mitch and Max showed some good signs throughout the year," Melbourne football operations manager Josh Mahoney said.

"Mitch worked his way into the AFL team in the last round and didn't look out of place. Max has always been a long-term project and he continues to develop at Casey.

"They have both accepted additional years on their rookie contracts."

Mitchell White makes his AFL debut for Melbourne at Docklands Stadium with 16 disposals (9 kicks and 7 handballs), 6 marks and a tackle in a 26-point win over GWS.
