Lachie Hunter's driver's licence has been suspended, and the Bulldogs vice-captain is set to be charged for having allegedly hit four parked cars while driving under the influence of alcohol.

Hunter was driven by teammate Bailey Smith from the scene of the incident to fellow teammate Billy Gowers' house where he was later found by police. A breath test conducted on Hunter then recorded a reading of more than two times the legal blood alcohol limit.

Hunter's car, along with two of the four cars he is alleged to have hit, was towed from the scene.

Billy Gowers fractures his wrist in a car accident, but the Bulldogs have indicated that the injury will not impact his pre-season significantly.

"I love being at the club, so I was stoked to sign for another two years," Gowers said.

Two of his recent uploads have involved fellow first-year Bulldogs Ed Richards and Fergus Greene.

Richards took part in a carpool karaoke session as he and Gowers banged out lyrics to Akon's classic hit Smack That.

Gowers also snapped Greene performing an audacious self-choreographed routine following last weekend's thrilling win over North Melbourne.

"Nothing is ever planned with my social media, it just happens when it does," Gowers said.

A round-one AFL debut looked a million miles away for Billy Gowers when couldn't crack a game in the VFL at the start of last season due to ankle surgery.

Sent back to amateur footy after missing round-one selection at state league level, Gowers soon returned and ended up impressing with 20 goals across 19 games with Footscray.

Twelve months on, the Bulldogs rookie now has two senior games under his belt and will line up against Essendon at Etihad Stadium this week.

"Going back to local footy with Old Xaverians in the VAFA and having a bit of fun was great, but I never thought about getting redrafted until the end of last year," Gowers said.

"It's great being out on the field now (with the Bulldogs) and having a run around, but I hope I'm contributing to the team because it's been a such a long wait to play senior footy."

"A bouncing half-back/wing, who can run and has the unique ability to bounce the ball with either hand when he runs," Carlton recruiting manager Shane Rogers said.

"He also kicks well on both feet and with some coaching and development will be a good player. He's very athletic."
