Nick Bourke Biography

Geelong delists Nick Bourke, George Burbury, Jordan Schroder, Jackson Sheringham and Jesse Stringer.

"We thank Nick, George, Jordan, Jackson and Jesse for their contributions to the club and wish them every success," Geelong football manager Neil Balme said.

"It is never easy letting players go, but we hope they receive opportunity at other clubs in the future.


"George, Jordan, Jackson and Jesse all received opportunity at AFL level and played in our 2012 VFL premiership."


After being overlooked in the NAB AFL Draft, Nick Bourke is excited at being rookie listed by the Cats.

"Going into the rookie draft you never know what's going to happen. But it was a very exciting moment and I'm very happy with it," he said.

"Geelong had only shown the same amount of interest as most of the other clubs – a few interviews here and there – but I was lucky enough that they picked me up. I'm very honoured and humbled by the opportunity I've been given.
