Jake Neade, Will Snelling and Dom Barry are delisted by Port Adelaide.
Thursday, 13 November 2014
Dom Barry says he walked away from his AFL career because he lost his hunger for the game.

"The reason I'm leaving is because I just don't have the passion to play AFL any more," Barry said.

"I want to be closer to family and try and find something that I'm very passionate about.

"It's been hanging over my head for … about half a year now. It wasn't an overnight decision, so it wasn't an irrational decision."

Wednesday, 12 November 2014
Dom Barry quits the Demons, telling the club he wants to return home to his native APY lands in central Australia.

Barry, who signed a two-year deal in July this year, returned for pre-season training but let the club know he had lost the desire to continue his AFL career.

"We fully support the decision made by Dom and will assist him at every opportunity with his transition," Melbourne football manager Josh Mahoney said.

"This has been an extremely difficult decision for Dom – right now his heart is not with playing AFL. He will take a period of time to consider his options with a focus on indigenous culture and welfare programs in the future – an area he is truly passionate about.

"Dom moved away from Alice Springs in 2008 at the age of 14 ... during this period, Dom has missed a lot of valuable family and cultural time and this has weighed heavily on him. Dom would now like to make family and culture his No.1 priority."

Sunday, 29 June 2014
Dom Barry makes his AFL debut for Melbourne at Docklands Stadium with 2 disposals (a kick and a handball) and 3 tackles in a 6-point loss to the Western Bulldogs.
