Josh Prudden is delisted by the Western Bulldogs for the second time in two years.

The 23-year-old played four games across his five years at the club, struggling with knee and ankle injuries, including a knee reconstruction in 2016.

Prudden was delisted at the end of 2016 before being re-drafted by the club as a rookie.

"Josh was the very definition of a great teammate and he should hold his head high for the impact he's had on the group in his time here," Wester Bulldogs list manager Jason McCartney said.

"We wish Josh all the best for the future and we thank him for his commitment and dedication to our football club over the journey."

The Western Bulldogs select Joshua Prudden with pick No.35 in the 2016 Rookie Draft.

“Josh has had some hardships along the way but he’s got some really sound fundamentals," Bulldogs recruiting Manager Simon Dalrymple said.

“He just needs a bit of luck with his body and we think he’s got the potential to be a really strong AFL player.”

The Western Bulldogs have committed to selecting Josh Prudden on their rookie list after delisting the injury-cursed youngster.

Prudden is recovering from a knee reconstruction after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in April.

"Josh is progressing well through his knee rehabilitation and we are committed to selecting Josh as a rookie for the 2017 season," Bulldogs list manager Jason McCartney said.

Josh Prudden signs a new one-year deal with the Bulldogs after playing four encouraging games in 2015.

Joshua Prudden makes his AFL debut for the Western Bulldogs with 11 disposals (7 kicks and 4 handballs), 6 marks and a tackle in a 22-point win over Gold Coast.

Josh Prudden has signed a contract extension with the Western Bulldogs, which will see him stay at Whitten Oval until at least the end of the 2015 season.

"Josh has shown a real appetite to learn in his first year at the club and we are really happy with his progress so far," Western Bulldogs list manager Jason McCartney said.

"He is a quality person and has conducted himself as a true professional in his young career to date."
