The Bulldogs delist Fletcher Roberts and Lukas Webb.

"We thank Fletcher and Lukas for their contributions at our football club," Bulldogs list manager Sam Power said.

"Both were part of team success in 2016, with Fletcher an important member of our AFL premiership side and Lukas among the best performers in Footscray’s VFL triumph.

"They have been well-respected members of our playing group and we wish them all the best for the future."

Fletcher Roberts signs a new contract extension with the Bulldogs that will keep him at the club until the end of 2019.

"We've been really encouraged by Fletcher's development as a tall defender since he came to us in 2012, particularly the last 12 months," Bulldogs list manager Jason McCartney said.

"Fletcher reads the play well and regularly leads the side in one percenters, which is a tribute to how hard he works for his teammates."

Fletcher Roberts believes the experience of playing in last year's elimination final has left him battle-hardened and prepared for this year's action in September with the Bulldogs.

"I spoke to 'Bevo' (Luke Beveridge) a couple of weeks ago about how important I can be in our defensive structure and how important depth is at our club," Roberts said.

"He believes in every one of his players and he's always pumping me with confidence.

"But I hope in the coming years I can continue to build my tank and work on my strength and speed so I'm able to play on the big boys and the ones that can run a lot."

Fletcher Roberts signs a new two-year contract with the Western Bulldogs that will keep him at the club until the end of 2017.

The Western Bulldogs have moved to secure their list by signing youngsters Christian Howard and Fletcher Roberts to new contracts.

"We see him as an emerging key position player whether it be back or forward," Bulldogs list manger Jason McCartney said about Roberts.

Fletcher Roberts makes his AFL debut for the Western Bulldogs at the MCG with 8 disposals (7 kicks and a handball) and 3 marks in a 70-point loss to Richmond.
