"Each of the boys should be proud of their ongoing effort and level of professionalism during their time with the club."

Cameron Shenton signs a one-year new deal with St Kilda that will keep him at the club until the end of 2016.

St Kilda upgrades Cameron Shenton to the senior list for 2015.

"I've really enjoyed playing at half-back and am stoked to have signed on with the club," Shenton said.

"I think that rebounding role suits me, but if I can increase my fitness over the summer I'm hoping I can push up the ground."

St Kilda coach Alan Richardson was full of praise for Shenton's competitiveness and professionalism.

"Cameron is a terrific one-on-one player," Richardson said.

"He reads the game well, has a great dash of speed, and isn't afraid to take the contest on.

"It was impressive that he played more than half the season in the AFL team this year, and it didn't really matter what role we asked him to perform – his endeavour and work ethic was always of the highest quality."
