Thursday, 31 August 2017
Carlton makes four changes to its list, with Liam Sumner and Andrew Gallucci delisted, while Daniel Gorringe and Matthew Korcheck have retired.
Tuesday, 28 February 2017
Daniel Gorringe receives good news after scans revealed no significant damage to his Achilles during the Blues' JLT Community Series loss to Melbourne.

"Daniel was rested in the first half of the game against Melbourne, and then unfortunately stirred up his Achilles in the third quarter," Blues football director Andrew McKay said.

"Given his history with this type of injury, we were cautious. But the good news is he will only be sidelined for one week."

Saturday, 25 February 2017
Daniel Gorringe suffers an Achilles injury in Carlton's 54-point pre-season loss to Melbourne.

"I hope he's OK … I think he stirred up his Achilles," Carlton coach Brendon Bolton said.

"At some stage during the week we'll get a result on that, let's hope and cross our fingers it's not too bad."

Monday, 9 November 2015
Carlton has boosted its ruck stocks with the signing of former Gold Coast big man Daniel Gorringe.

The 23-year-old joins the Blues as a delisted free agent after playing 22 games in five years at the Suns.

"To bring in another young talent who is eager and hungry for more senior opportunities only strengthens our playing list," Blues list manager Stephen Silvagni said.

"Daniel has an excellent leap and the ability to move around the ground is a mark of his athleticism, and the fact he’s already had five years of AFL-system experience is a real bonus."

Thursday, 29 October 2015
Daniel Gorringe is delisted by Gold Coast.

The 23-year-old played 22 games but only managed two this season after being drafted at No.10 in the 2010 NAB AFL Draft.

Gorringe struggled to make the senior team after falling behind fellow big men Tom Nicholls and Zac Smith in the pecking order.

Thursday, 16 October 2014
Daniel Gorringe will remain at Gold Coast in 2015 after Port Adelaide failed to do a deal to satisfy the Suns' hierarchy.

Gorringe had nominated Port Adelaide as his club of choice after requesting a move home to South Australia following four seasons at Gold Coast.

But Port's focus on securing Patrick Ryder from Essendon ruined any chance of the 22-year-old getting a move to Alberton Oval.

"Unfortunately Port weren't able to come up with a deal that we were happy with," Suns football manager Marcus Ashcroft said.

"From our point of view we're rapt to have Dan with our club next year.

"As I've said right the way through, we think he's part of our core, a required player at our footy club for 2015, and we think he can play some really good footy."

Adelaide say they had no interest in pursuing Gold Coast tall Daniel Gorringe during the NAB AFL Trade Period because the club didn't believe he could fill its needs.

"We spoke about Dan Gorringe as a list management and a recruiting group, we felt that he was probably more a forward than a ruckman," Adelaide Crows coach Phillip Walsh said.

"We're very happy with the choice we've ended up making."

Wednesday, 8 October 2014
Essendon has shown an interest in recruiting Gold Coast ruckman Daniel Gorringe as it looks to fill the void likely to be left by Paddy Ryder.
Wednesday, 1 October 2014
Port Adelaide has confirmed its interest in young ruckman Daniel Gorringe.

"We welcome the news that Daniel Gorringe has nominated Port Adelaide as his nominated club but the bottom line is he is contracted to the Gold Coast Suns," Power list manager Jason Cripps said.

"We are respectful of that and therefore are committed to ensuring a fair trade can be reached that benefits all parties."

Tuesday, 30 September 2014
Gold Coast ruckman Daniel Gorringe wants a trade to an SA club, nominating Port Adelaide as his club of choice.

"It's an opportunity factor," Gorringe's manager Marty Pask said.

"We're hopeful we can find something back in Adelaide and likely Port Adelaide if something can get done.

"We're under no illusions that Dan is a contracted player and there's a lot of water to go under the bridge at this point in time, but we're hopeful something will eventuate."

Friday, 6 September 2013
Daniel Gorringe re-signs with Gold Coast until the end of 2015.

"We always planned for Daniel to continue his AFL career on the Gold Coast and we look forward to watching him continue to develop," Gold Coast list manager Scott Clayton said.

Thursday, 4 October 2012
Gold Coast wants Kurt Tippett but will not use SA youngsters Sam Day or Daniel Gorringe as bargaining chips with Adelaide.

"We've always spoken about not wanting to compromise the growth of our young list. We want to make sure that we keep our young players together for as long as we can and we don't want to compromise that," Gold Coast football manager Marcus Ashcroft said.

"We'll look at options to make sure that we get a good player like Kurt into the side, but not to the detriment of breaking up our young talent."

Sunday, 24 July 2011
Gold Coast youngsters Dion Prestia and Daniel Gorringe have extended their contracts until the end of 2013.

"I'm rapt to have extended my contract with the Suns. Being part of the team from the beginning is something that I will never forget. I'm really enjoying the challenge here on the Gold Coast," Prestia said.

"I have really enjoyed my move to the Suns, it's a really exciting place to be around and I'm looking forward to continuing my career here," Gorringe said.

Saturday, 9 April 2011
Daniel Gorringe makes his AFL debut for Gold Coast at Docklands Stadium with 15 disposals (6 kicks and 9 handballs), 4 marks, 7 hitouts and a goal in a 71-point loss to the Western Bulldogs.
