Rohan Bail Biography

Friday, 18 September 2015
Melbourne delists Jack Fitzpatrick as part of four list changes it announced on Friday.

Fitzpatrick joins Aidan Riley, Rohan Bail and Jordie McKenzie as those to be let go, as the Demons continue down the path of aggressively reshaping their list.

"All four players have had to overcome adversity at different stages through their careers and during their time at Melbourne," Demons football manager Josh Mahoney said.

"All four players had limited appearances at AFL level this year, but they were all consistent players for Casey Scorpions and we appreciate the effort they put in at VFL level and how it assisted the development of our younger players.

"They have all contributed right to the end of their time at Melbourne and we thank them for their contribution and wish them all the best for the future."

He arrived at court handcuffed in the back of a police van and appeared healthy but subdued.

Melbourne utility Rohan Bail is yet to be cleared by doctors following a concussion in round nine.

"Our club is being diligent in this area and we are not prepared to play him until those changes have improved," Melbourne football manager Josh Mahoney said.

"It's frustrating for the club and for Rohan. Physically he feels good. He trained all last week. It has just been a frustrating delayed recovery to concussion."

Thursday, 3 May 2012
Melbourne's Rohan Bail has overcome several personal and physical hurdles since being drafted in 2008.

"[I was] more of a runner than a footballer and that was to my detriment I think," Bail said.

"Between 18 and 20 I got a little bit bigger and focused on my footy and managed to get the ball more."

Bail has also had to endure stints on the sidelines due to injury during his career.

"You just do what you have to do, do your rehab as best you can and just keep light-hearted, I suppose," he said.

"The hardest thing is match-day, when you are watching, but when you are not doing that you just have to remember it is not that bad. There are worse things in life, but it is definitely frustrating."
