Campbell Heath Biography

Wednesday, 24 September 2014
Port Adelaide delists former Hawthorn premiership ruckman Brent Renouf, as well as defender Campbell Heath and small forward Cam Hitchcock.
Wednesday, 28 May 2014
Port Adelaide ruckman Brent Renouf will miss the remainder of 2014 after undergoing knee surgery, while defender Campbell Heath is only a chance to return in 2014 after his own knee operation.

The pair were injured in the club's SANFL win last Saturday.

Renouf underwent a procedure to repair a ruptured patella tendon in his left knee, while Heath had LARS surgery after rupturing the ACL in his right knee.

"It's a real shame for Brent as he'd strung a whole heap of games together and was looking good,'' Power high performance manager Darren Burgess said.

"[Heath] was pretty keen to go with the LARS as he's had some success with that in the past."

Wednesday, 3 April 2013
After a turbulent five years in the system, Heath Campbell expresses satisfaction at being part of the Power's 79-point win against the Demons in round one of 2013.

"It was amazing. I've been delisted, a couple of knee 'recos', it's been a bit of a rollercoaster career so far," he said.

"It's great to be back playing in such a great club with all these guys. Hopefully there are a few more wins to come."

Friday, 26 October 2012
Port Adelaide has continued its busy trade period by signing Swans defender Campbell Heath.

"He's overcome some injuries and the harsh reality of facing the end of his career, before grabbing a lifeline and producing a really consistent year in 2012, particularly in the second half of the season and during finals," Power football operations manager Peter Rohde said.

"We think that's a credit to him and a sign his knee and body are sound and he has plenty of football in front of him."

Friday, 3 February 2012
Heath Shaw will use his past indiscretions to help steer Collingwood's younger players in the right direction as part of his leadership role.

"I've been to the dark side and back so I know what it's like on that side. Hopefully the mistakes I've made can help the guys coming through guide them in the right direction rather than the wrong direction," Shaw said.

"Getting voted in is a big honour for me after the year I had last year and I'm looking forward to that role mentoring young guys but also helping develop the old guys and improving them as well."

Thursday, 27 January 2011
Young Swan Campbell Heath will opt for LARS surgery after severely injuring his knee.

"We're expecting good results for Campbell. It's unfortunate that the conventional ligament repair he had previously on his left knee has re-ruptured," Sydney surgeon and LARS expert Danny Biggs said.

Saturday, 22 May 2010
Campbell Heath makes his AFL debut for Sydney at the SCG with 12 disposals (10 kicks and 2 handballs), 4 marks and 6 tackles in a 37-point loss to Fremantle.
Thursday, 20 May 2010
Sydney Swan Campbell Heath will play his first AFL game against Fremantle after a strong push by Sydney's leadership group in Brett Kirk, Adam Goodes and Craig Bolton.

"It's always encouraging when the young players know the captains want you in the side as well," Sydney coach Paul Roos said.

"He's a real tough player and physically, he's quite mature at 85, 86 kilos. He's not like your normal first-game rookie."
