Levi Greenwood and Tyson Goldsack are allegedly involved in a physical altercation with ex-AFL player Nathan Djerrkura at a remote Northern Territory pub.

Greenwood and Goldsack were in the NT for the White Ribbon Football Competition and Family Day earlier that day at Hindle Oval in Nhulunbuy, about 1000km east of Darwin.

Western Bulldogs small forward Nathan Djerrkura quits AFL football at the age of 23 to return home.

"My decision to retire from AFL football and return home after ten years away was a difficult one but one I feel comfortable with," he said.

"I have given the best part of my life, wholeheartedly, to playing AFL football and have had some terrific experiences. But being away from my family, community and the cultural responsibilities I hold, are reasons enough to head home."

Nathan Djerrkura says 2012 is a make or break season for him.

"I've just got to put my head down and keep trying to improve every aspect of my game," he said.

"I have to do what I can to cement my spot in the side, and do what I can to make the team better. And I think I can do that."

Bulldogs midfielder Nathan Djerrkura has suffered a suspected broken hand.

"We suspect that he might have a broken hand," Fantasia told the Herald Sun.

"Even if it is a break, it might only be three or four weeks. He can still keep his conditioning and stuff, so it might only be a little set-back for him."

Geelong will receive a third-round draft selection from the Bulldogs in exchange for midfielder Nathan Djerrkura.

"He's had a bit of interest from a few clubs but the Bulldogs have been pretty active for a while now, particularly over the last week," his manager George Haros said.

"He was open to certain offers but the Bulldogs all along have been a preference for Nathan given his initial meetings and rapport with the coaching staff."

Nathan Djerrkura is in line to make his AFL debut against Essendon on Sunday with forwards Paul Chapman injured and Matthew Stokes suspended.

"We would love to give Nathan the opportunity to play, his last three weeks in the VFL he's performed really well and he's looked like a league player, so this could be a great opportunity to play him,'' Geelong coach Mark Thompson said.
