Matthew Watson says he's desperate to prove himself at another club after admitting he wasted his chance with the Blues.

"I'm looking to get more powerful, faster, more agile – I've been doing a lot of work in the off-season with a performance coach just working on those things," Watson said.

"I identified over the last year that this stuff was holding me back. Especially the forwards, you need to be powerful and agile … if I'm able to improve on those then hopefully another club can pick me up."
