Jacob Allison says he is excited at the prospect of playing alongside Lions recruit and former Hawthorn skipper Luke Hodge.

"I was Hawthorn supporter growing up and so was dad, so dad's a bit jealous at the moment," Allison laughed.

"I still can't believe it's happening and I'm stoked for the club. I can't wait to learn off him and ask as many questions as I can."

Jacob Allison signs a contract extension with Brisbane to remain at the club until the end of 2020.

Allison says Lions coach Chris Fagan has been instrumental in his development.

"He definitely gives you feedback in the right way and doesn't talk down to you," he said.

"To play NEAFL and earn my spot and play the final five games was a big deal."

Jacob Allison makes his AFL debut for Brisbane with 20 disposals (6 kicks and 14 handballs), 5 marks and a tackle in a 68-point loss to West Coast.
