Gold Coast delist Harrison Wigg.

Wigg spent three years at Adelaide and two at the Suns, but never made his debut due to a spate of injuries, including an ACL tear at training in February.

Harrison Wigg will miss the 2019 season after rupturing the ACL in his right knee.

Wigg crumbled to the ground in what appeared an innocuous incident in the opening quarter of the Suns' intraclub match at Metricon Stadium.

"It’s really unfortunate for Harrison, he had an injury interrupted season with the club last year, but had put together a really strong pre-season," Gold Coast football manager Jon Haines said.

"We know he’ll approach his recovery with the professionalism he has shown this pre-season and we look forward to seeing him back up and running."

The Crows have sent Wigg, pick No.54 and a future fourth-round selection to the Suns in exchange for pick No.39.

Harrison Wigg signs a new one-year deal with the Crows to remain on Adelaide's list for 2017.

Wigg, 19, is yet to debut for the Crows but impressed in the SANFL and appears well placed to take the next step in his career in 2017 after being named emergency for the senior team twice.

He finished third in Adelaide's SANFL best and fairest, averaging 23 possessions, five marks and three clearances.

Harrison Wigg says he is thrilled to be staying in his home state after being selected by the Crows with pick No.35 in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft.

"You don't have to worry about homesickness or anything so it's probably the best thing that could have happened, to be able to stay in Adelaide," Wigg said.

"I was a bit nervous early, but I'm so happy to be a Crow."

Wigg will write his father's initials on his hand before every game.

It's a routine he began almost three years ago when his dad Colin passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack.

Friday, 28 November 2014
Adelaide list manager David Noble says the selection of Harrison Wigg with their No.35 pick in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft will address the club's need for left-footers.

"[He's] a quality ball user who is a left-footer. We've been big the last few years on trying to find a couple of lefties," Noble said.

"Harrison is also a local guy, so we're really pleased with that selection."

Friday, 31 October 2014
Draft prospect Harrison Wigg helped lift South Australia to the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships division one title with a consistent display in defence.

He was named an All Australian – one of only four representatives from his state – and showed his traits as an attacking small defender capable of shifting into the midfield.

Wigg returned to his local club, North Adelaide, after the carnival hoping to build on his form, but woke up one day with a pain in his right foot after a game of school footy.

Scans showed a stress reaction in his third metatarsal, which ruled him for eight weeks and saw him sidelined for the draft combine.
