Mark Thompson on preparing to play the bottom-of-the-ladder Melbourne Demons:
"We're just going to go to work tomorrow and review this game. We're going to have the same amount of meetings, we're going to look at the team we play, Melbourne, in the same depth, and we're going to try to play the best footy we're capable of playing."
Mark Thompson on possible areas of improvement for the Cats:
"We're fairly happy with the day's work, but that doesn't say that the day was perfect. There were a few times there where we didn't play exactly the way we wanted to play. But generally speaking, to win by that much and kick that score, you'd have to be pleased with that."
Mark Thompson on not capitalising on their forward entries in the first quarter:
"We had 20 entries in the first quarter and we scored four goals, so there's a few little things that happened. But by the end of the game, I thought we'd corrected them, which was a fantastic achievement."
Matthew Knights on not trying to lock down Geelong:
"You've got a Brownlow medallist in Bartel running around, Gary Ablett jnr, you've got Kelly, who's on the top of his game, Joel Corey. You can't lock down the whole lot."
Matthew Knights on the loss after a big win last week:
"It is a huge reality check for us. A huge reality check."
Matthew Knights on the Bombers' defensive strategies:
"I certainly think our defensive actions weren't up to standard today. They were last week, but they weren't this week, and that was the tale of the tape. We have got basically a long way to go in that area."
Matthew Knights on persisting with attacking footy despite the margin:
"We are keen to really keep developing our club. We weren't going to play slow and just chip it round and avoid a 15 to 10 (goal) defeat. We were going to take the game on to win, because that is what we believe the best way to develop our players is, to give them the impetus to win games."
