Neil Craig on losing the last five matches against the Eagles:
"I don't think any club likes to have a situation where, like us at the moment, we've lost the last five games. We don't like that, we don't want that and it's not the way we want to be perceived by West Coast."
Neil Craig on playing a young and inexperienced team:
"The young guys are going to get a lot of responsibility put on them at a very early age and stage in their careers, but that's the way we're going. We need to make sure we play with an aggressive and flat-out attitude and give guys at early stages in their career big responsibilities because it will be fantastic for them later on."
Neil Craig on Luke Jericho coming into the side:
"Jericho gives us a bit more flexibility and ability to rotate through our forward line. If we need, for example, to give Simon Goodwin a bit more time in the midfield, we've got a forward to go up there and cover that. I've seen Luke play some of his best football at AFL level in the midfield and on the wing in particular."
Neil Craig on Kris Massie coming into the side:
"Kris Massie comes in and he gives us some flexibility, a little bit in the midfield, but mainly more in a defensive action. He can play on a taller-type player or on a small and he can play in the midfield if we need him to go in there."
Neil Craig on selecting Patrick Dangerfield ahead of Brad Ebert who debuts this week:
"The best thing that can happen now is that we let both careers unfold so that people can make their own judgements and there will be a lot of debate. It's a great occasion for Brad, but hopefully we'll be talking about that for the next ten years and that both guys can have long AFL careers."
Richard Douglas on the Crows not having beaten the Eagles in the last 5 outings:
"There are a few guys in the team this week who probably didn't play in those past five games, so that record obviously means nothing to us. We've got a chance now, as the 'new breed', to change things and set the record straight for ourselves."
Richard Douglas on his development as a player:
"I definitely feel more comfortable within myself and also with my role in the team. I'm ready to take that next step now to become a regular player in the starting 18. Playing against West Coast with Dean Cox, Daniel Kerr and these sorts of blokes, who are great players, hopefully I'll learn something off them as well."
Andrew McLeod on the Crows' strategy against the Eagles:
"Hopefully the stuff we've been able to work on over the pre-season, if we can attack them a bit more with the run and carry that we've added to our game, hopefully that will go a long way towards determining the outcome."
Andrew McLeod on the Crows' goalkicking:
"The question is always raised about our goalkicking. It would be nice to kick those goals when they need to be kicked, and it would be nice to give those guys who had those opportunities the same opportunities this weekend and nail them."
Andrew McLeod on not having a good record against the Eagles:
"There's no hiding from the fact that they have a great record against us. Sometimes against the West Coast we've fallen short, and they've just been too good for us. Obviously the sides in the past haven't been good enough, but I'm sure this side is."
Andrew McLeod on playing West Coast without Judd:
"They have a number of quality onballers. It's just a different order. If you take him off the list, then Daniel Kerr comes first."
Andrew McLeod on covering for the injured Brent Reilly and Chris Knights in the midfield:
"We've certainly got a number of blokes who can play those roles and move in and out. That's something we've had a good handle on. Because of the NAB Cup, we've been able to work on it and the coaches have been able to get it right."
Andrew McLeod on having confidence in the Crows' ruckmen:
"We're very confident our ruckmen will go out there and perform and do a good job, for us it's those guys coming and providing competition so our midfielders get a chance to get first crack at the ball."
John Worsfold on Mark LeCras' injury:
"He has got a pubic bone stress injury, which at this stage we expect will keep him out for a few weeks, but we can't put an exact timeline on how long he'll be out for, so we've just got to manage that through rest, at this stage."
John Worsfold on helping Daniel Kerr deal with increased attention from taggers:
"I think Daniel can look after himself. Umpires are out there umpiring the game, and our players will look after Daniel like they would any other teammate which is if they have got the footy, we try and block someone for them."
Daniel Kerr on receiving blocks from his teammates:
"It is not just their role it is my role as well to block for them on occasion. I think we won the stoppages (against Brisbane) fairly easily. So as long as we are winning the stoppages we are happy."
