Mark Harvey on expanding team lists:
"I had a meeting with the AFL last week and they said intensity has gone up 10 per cent again, so that is 20 per cent in two years. It is taking its toll, so perhaps we should look at extending lists with a couple more players. It is probably a good time to do it at the end of this year."
Mark Harvey on Fremantle's form:
"Our form has actually been OK without winning, that's the problem and we are addressing that. We are disappointed to get so close but not quite beat those top sides and once again we face a top-four side in the Western Bulldogs. I'd imagine there won't be much in the game."
Mark Harvey on allowing sides back into games:
"It's about arresting momentum and not finding yourself in those situations where you let sides back in the game too quickly and too easily. It's something we have addressed over the break and the players will know what to do. We've highlighted where we've been going wrong in those situations and are confident it won't happen again."
Garrick Ibbotson on his form:
"I had a big pre-season and have always thought it would be a year where I could break into the team regularly and start playing good football with Fremantle and I'm happy with how it's gone so far. We just need to pull together as a team a bit more. I'll be happier to be playing in the team when we start winning."
Garrick Ibbotson on expectations on the senior players:
"We have a lot of young guys coming through and once they get games into their legs and more experience, they will only get better, but the guys that have played 50 or more games now have to act as senior players."
Garrick Ibbotson on the reason Fremantle go missing in games:
"I don't think we are unfit. It might be something like a lack of concentration at time during games. We are still confident that we can play good footy and there's 15 games to go in the year, so even finals aren't out of the question. We will work out as a group what we need to do to get back and everyone is confident that we can."
Mark Harvey on Fremantle's culture:
"The players are trying their best, sometimes that might not be good enough, but culturally success is what has to be inbred into it. I'm looking forward to what lies ahead and what we can do about it."
Mark Harvey on holding onto leads:
"You'd like to think there are no scars there about giving up leads, but there'll be uncertainty at times. The playing group needs to understand how to deal with that better and our job as coaches is to get them to do that."
Mark Harvey on making the finals:
"The fact that the top-four is winning regularly gives the rest of us a chance, so we won't be ruling out finals. The confidence we get is from the fact that we are right in the game for three and a half quarters, it's now about dealing with the next stage of winning the close games when you are under pressure."
Mark Harvey on redeeming themselves against the Bulldogs:
"We look forward to playing the Bulldogs in a week and a half's time and we will cop what's happened on the chin. Hopefully we redeem ourselves quickly."
Daniel Cross on a top-four finish:
"The start that we've had certainly does gives us a chance but the next block of seven weeks is really going to determine whether we can really seriously look at that. It's really only early days, Ourselves, Geelong and Hawthorn certainly can look at that if we keep going the way we are in the next few weeks."
Daniel Cross on the Hall of Fame Tribute Match break:
"It gives the guys a good chance to recover and relax, catch up with their families. I think everyone's rejuvenated and set to go for another seven weeks so I think it came at a good time."
Daniel Cross on playing the struggling Dockers:
"After four rounds, Port Power were the best side at 0-4. I think Fremantle are the second best side because they could have easily have beaten Geelong, and obviously Melbourne last week and they pushed Hawthorn and Adelaide to two goals each. So other than their Richmond let-up, they could be 4-3."
Daniel Cross on players available for selection:
"Wayde Skipper, Peter Street, Farren Ray, Tom Williams, Andrejs Everitt, we're in a great position because we've only got two injuries on our list at the moment."
