Jeff White on Dean Bailey's game plan:
"The most important thing for us is to minimise our skill errors, get this great game plan that Dean's got in place (working) and get some confidence from that. It's a really, really good exciting game plan, but we've just got to get it right."
Jeff White on implementing the game plan during games:
"You can get all the training techniques and all the game styles right out on the track but once you get out on the park you tend to go back to your bad habits. I think that's what's happening but we're excited about learning a new style so hopefully it's not too far away."
Jeff White on minimizing skill errors:
"We made a lot of skill errors the last couple of weeks in the second quarter that cost us six or seven goals against Brisbane and Carlton. If we can minimise that a little bit and bring that back to two or three we'll give ourselves and opportunity."
Jeff White on playing Fremantle:
"We'll do our homework on Freo, they played really well the last two weeks against two quality sides and they'll be out to fire up. They've played really well the last few years at the 'G."
Brad Green on Melbourne's horror start to the season:
"It hasn't been great. There's no doubt there's a confidence issue, but the boys are still upbeat, the boys are still pumping around as boys do when they get to the club. It is disappointing the way we are performing at the moment, you do feel sorry sometimes the way we are performing, but we need to get every supporter there that we can."
Brad Green on playing Fremantle at the MCG:
"They're coming over here and hopefully we can start to generate that confidence - we need to start that in the first quarter."
Brad Green on out of form Aaron Davey:
"He is a spark player for us, he does generate a lot of excitement and we need to help him out. A bit like Gary Ablett, maybe - maybe we need to get the ball to Aaron a bit like they do at Geelong and get him into the game quicker."
Mark Harvey on Josh Carr being suspended:
"Josh regularly gets called up every Monday. Gets scrutinised heavily, more heavily than any other player in the competition I reckon. And a lot of things happened to Josh last Friday night, a lot of things, and no-one wants to bring them up. It would be fair to say we are not happy with the treatment Josh gets on a weekly basis."
Mark Harvey on the match against Melbourne being dubbed as the "Who Cares Cup":
"What people say about Fremantle, that is up to them. We go out there to be competitive, and hopefully we have a standing ovation like we had on Friday night. We have got nothing to be complacent about ourselves, we have only won one game, and what we have got to do is back up that performance."
Mark Harvey on getting stability in the side:
"I am trying to stabilise the team, but at no stage this year have we been able to do that through a number of guys missing through injury. We are bringing in some young players who are adding some spice and excitement to the group."
Shaun McManus on needing to lift their standards:
"We put up a pretty brave effort against Geelong, and a good effort, but we're looking for higher standards than that. And whether it was Geelong, or Melbourne this weekend, or Essendon or whoever, it may be, our standards need to be higher, and instead of losing by one point, we could have won by a goal."
