John Worsfold on whether he feels any pressure as coach:
"I felt pressure every week in 2006, every week - and we won a premiership. Whether you are winning or losing there is pressure on you to get the best out of yourself."
John Worsfold on the Eagles' poor skill level:
"Really, there is no excuse for it. You get back off the mark and try to kick to a teammate 15 metres away and miss him. Players have got to show at AFL level that they have the ability to play the game under all sorts of pressure. If they can't deliver in these types of games, it's unlikely they will deliver in big games."
John Worsfold on being critical of his players' effort in the first half:
"It's probably the first time I've really questioned whether they were still prepared to keep the fight up. In the third quarter, I think they played like you would expect a team to go out and play. I don't think they did anything more, they just raised the standard to where the minimum should be."
John Worsfold on whether the Eagles are in a crisis:
"We've got injuries, and we're in poor form, and we've got some players who need to lift," he said. To me, a crisis would be where there's no direction given to the players, or the players don't want to go down the direction that's been given to them, players don't want to play for the club or the coach. I don't think we're in a crisis, no."
Steven Browne on playing in his home state, West Australia:
"It's a good experience just to come home and be able to have your family and friends come along to watch. It was also a bit of a strange feeling playing against the team that I followed as a kid and to run around against Chris Masten, who I played with in the under-18s."
Steven Browne on Perth's media coverage of Chris Judd playing against the Eagles:
"There was not really that much coverage of it in Melbourne but once we got here it was pretty full-on. But it didn't distract us and Chris played a role in that. He's an awesome guy and he doesn't get carried away with any of that and so he just went his own way like he always does."
Steven Browne on Carlton's young players:
"For me it's important to contribute to the side and make sure I play well enough to make the team each week. From the club's point of view, we know we've got a talented group of young guys and if we keep working at it we can develop into an awesome force over the next few years. It's pretty simple, we just have to keep at it and you never know what's just around the corner."
Chris Judd on expecting to be tagged:
"I never really go into games with preconceived views about what's going to happen. If you work yourself up expecting a lot of push and shove and if it doesn't eventuate, sometimes you're a bit let down and the reverse is also true. So I just go into games with an open mind and be prepared for whatever comes my way."
Chris Judd on being nervous going into the game:
"People were sort of talking to me during the week saying 'you're going to feel strange' and I generally thought I wouldn't think so. But today I was very nervous about it and it was a strange feeling to come out here."
Chris Judd on his old side, the Eagles:
"A lot of them are good mates and they're obviously going through a lean patch and I certainly feel for them. But they're all big boys and I'm certain they'll bounce back."
Brett Ratten on winning after West Coast fought back in the 4th quarter:
"What I see from our blokes is a young group that composed themselves and worked their way through. I thought it was just outstanding for a young team to be nearly headed in the last quarter and to fight back and get a victory by close to six goals. I thought this was the storm that we had to weather and we did it and then we refocused."
Brett Ratten on the win:
"We've played some very good football through this early part of the year but this was one of our better ones. We've really focused on what we have to do and the records that were there, well we can rewrite them and create our own history. We're starting to stamp our own mark going forward and history at the club so it's really pleasing."
