Laycock
Laycock has to be the worst player in the AFL. As long as we couple him with Matthew (pretty boy) Lloyd we have no hope of grabbing a premiership. Get off your lazy arses and GO for the ball. If you can't do that move over for someone who will.
Adisgruntled Fan.

you are a idiot! with that crap about lloyd take a look at yourself! yesterday showed how good is with limited deelivery he still managed 5 goals you know with better delivery he would kick more goals! if we stop giving crap delivery like putting it on the the top of his head and start putting it out in fron of him on the chest then you will see how good he really is! stay in ballarat fool!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at what u wrote. Any body can mark a ball if its on the chest!!! The only way he gets the ball is if its kicked into his hands. He never puts his body on the line to get the ball. If he dosnt mark he rarely trys to get it back. In fact he often runs the other way. Being able to mark the ball on the chest is the sign of a good footballer, Being able to mark the ball in all circumstances is the sign of a great footballer and unfortunately Lloyd isnt one anymore!! His time is up!! Bring back Hird!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lloyd's still a good player because of his hands, but he can't kick as straight as he used to and he still plays for too many frees. It's a fact.

Laycock was a pretty high draft pick so our recruitment has been really poor the last few years.

debbie you are a **** and if you dont even like our captain you shouldn't call yourself an essendon fan. pull your friggin head in. essendons feed into the forward line relys on having a good centre half forward nad with scott lucas out its hard. but you would know that if you knew anything about football. keep your opinion to your stupid self.

Lloyd shouldn't be playing at the moment, be it because he's still recovering from injury or if he's just having a bad spell. But in his defense, he shouldn't be down the field chasing the ball, he makes the biggest impact playing forward.

As for going for the ball, I think its an issue of many of our players being physically too small to go toe-to-toe with many others in the competition causing them to lose contests rather than sheer laziness (speaking in general here, of course there are some players needing to lift their game).
