In the 2nd and 3rd Quarters we started playing our running and carrying game, which allowed us to take control of the game - especially in the 3rd quarter - but having said that, we had few marking forwards up front to kick to which did let us down... Though when Laycock and Hille did take marks they converted better than I'd expected..
Anyway I was rapt with how we played in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, but in the last quarter we had no spark, we couldn't win the contested footy and it was a disappointing way to end a game, considering how well we ended against Carlton..
I'm constantly amazed at how good Fletcher is. And Paddy Ryder had a good game too. As a group though I think the guys need to work on their skills under pressure and their awareness of each other, which will improve.
