The win over Carlton - your thoughts..
I don't really know how we did it... I knew we could win, but Carlton had way more disposals and Forward 50 entries, centre clearances, dominant midfielders and forwards, yet we got away with the win!

It was great to be there! Carlton always play their best against Essendon, and they looked very switched on throughout the match.. We always have trouble matching up agains Fevola, but it was a really good performance!

I think, overall, the two things I liked most was how we ran out the contest - we were full of run in the last quarter, which is quite different from previous seasons, and I liked how there were 14 different Essendon goal scorers..

I never really thought the game was in doubt. Maybe I am just too one eyed Actually, I thought we just did enough to win!

Your right about Lovett -- bloody awesome!!! Great to have him back!

We were horrible around the throw-ins and ball-ups but used the ball pretty well when we had it. We need more tougher players inside when the ball is in dispute.

I was at the game and was surprised knights didn't move fletcher on fev earlier. Andy Lovett was awsome!!! he put the spark back into the red and black

We were so lucky to win this one.

Mal Michael did nothing and Fevola kicked 8 as a result and it was only until Paddy Ryder came on to him after he kicked 7 that Fevola really became a lot quieter.

Where we won it was last quarter. We got owned in the 3rd quarter and our revival really didnt start until late goals by Lloyd and McPhee really got us going.

We were really lucky to win but once again umpiring decisions were ludicrious for both sides. Its like they've been paid to only offiicate certain free kicks and not give them out when they are supposed to be rewarded.
