How does he get a game????
Evytime I've seen Courtney Johns selected in the Essendon side we seem to lose, and he is still to produce the form that everyone raves about. Why is he still one the list???

Sheeds had a habbit of trying to make duds into stars.........I thinks Knights will get rid of Johns at the end of 08..and he won't be the only one....J.Jonson, D.Pevrill, J.Watson?, B.Stanton? arnt really cutting it at the moment but time will tell///

Stanton and Watson will stay. Stanton holds the key to the midfield - thats why he got the number 5. Watson is Timmy's son and gets plenty of the ball although his kicking is weak he has quick hands.

Johns, JJ, and Pev are all in their last season though. If johns plays it's like 23 vs 21 each game against us. When Neagle gets fit he is the answer up forward to the loss of Lucas.

Yeah I think this is a fair call, he is good enough in patches, but jeez he looks too slow and lacking in skill at times. I think he could be a good player, but sadly for Johns I think Jay Neagle is going to be better. But yeah I reckon Neagles where it's at and Johns is gunna be stuck at Bendigo.

Johns may yet prove able to step up as a key forward in place of Lucas,, and he's still got around 10 weeks to show something in that area.. Who knows, he may come good!

There's no freaking way Stanton, or Watson are leaving - they're well in our best 22 and are great running players. Maybe Peverill could be on the way out, but I still think he's a good tagging player.

And sure, get rid of J. Johnson too.. Fine. Any player with balls, with plenty of physical strength, who are constantly taking on the opposition and working hard for the team - especially those who are great possession winners - always seem to be the prime candidates for trading at the end of any season.. It started with Hardwick to Port Adelaide and now we've also got rid of Solly and M. Johnson.. I think letting at least 2 of those guys go was a mistake..

Don't get me wrong, I love Wastson and Stanton but I don't think they show enough against better teams. Yes they are in our best 22 but our best 22 got us in the bottom 4 last year....more changes have to be made. They just have to be much more polished and consistent.

I do think we are heading in the right direction. I love our new game style but we need to be a little more defensive sometimes.

I think Solly was happy to leave but we should have never got rid of Hardwick or Mark Johnson. They were solid players and tough at the ball.
