Pick your best side.
Interested to see what everyones best side would be in 2008! With all the new pace, seasoned younger players and a fully fit squad who would u pick in the side? Providing no injuries i can see some good depth in this side and a year that could be very exciting for bombers supporters.

quickly and roughly my side would go as follows.
From the backline

Michael Fletcher Dempsey

Nash Ryder Lovett Murray

McVeigh Watson Mcphee

Monfries Lucas Jetta

Davey Lloyd Reimers

R - Hille Stanton Peveril

I - Laycock Houlli

Harder than i thought
Last 2 spots are killing me so ill give a run down

Lovett (if he pulls his head in and follows team rules will def get a spot)

Slattery (could be a handy tagger as hes got a tank and is a hard backmen type)

Dyson (seems to be playing a role like stantons... im not yet convinced however his start to 08 has been the best ive seen of him)

Winderlich (looks like one of the quickest we got. not only has he got pace he would be close to one of the hardest nuts at the club)

Rama (one of the smartest players at the club and very skillful... due to the cancer hes lost alot of his zip, but with his silky skills and smart brain he can afford to be slower)

Welsh (too slow to be in the back half... cant see him getting a go up forward either... will be a fringe year and can only see him getting a game if injuries occur)

J.Johnson (was a very serviceable midfielder for the bombers, i think JJ will struggle to hold a spot this year unless hes 100% fit and winning the ball at will feeding the young speedsters.)

Johns (theres a spot there to be taken... up to him to want that spot)

Gumbleton (all be it injured... i think hes gona play a few games but like johns has to want the spot)

Hislopp (hard nut who is under club suspension... has the potential to fill a role)

All the young guys have claims but i think will be in and out depending on injuries)

GEE WIZ THAT WAS TOUGH WORK

GOOD LUCK

picking the starting line up for round one will be a very very hard decision, but one that Kinights and co. will be glad is so hard. The depth of the club this year is fantastic.

mine from the back line would be
slattery michael lovett murry

mcphee fletcher ryder

winderlich jhonson pevrill

mcveigh lucas lovett

davey lloyd jetta

R hille stanton watson

I laycock dempsy dyson nash

lucas to drop back for five minuts with ryder to pinch hit the ruck and the ruckmen to play half foward that would be what id like to see this is tough to do lol id maybe even drop a small fwd and play both rucks on the ground.
i think ramma will kick some ass this year with some uninterupted pre season under his belt.
in i think last year up until the game wher sheeds playd pev as a tagging back on shagga (roos) was in stella form i think at this late stage of his career he is in his prim.

one last thing i hope knightts can get into lloyd's head and make him the selfish full forward again and get somewher arround 85 to 90 goals from him with scotty kicking his 50/60
