Brent Macaffer 8 goals!
Macaffer got 8 goals in this weekends loss to Werribee.

Hope he debuts this week! Anyone who can put a game like that together deserves his place!

Also look for Lonie to come back into the side after a solid game on the weekend. Once he gets used to the speed of AFL footy again he will be an asset running out of defence in the absence of Heath Shaw!

i liked the way the forward line worked on the weekend looked the best it has for weeks now, dont think changing it around again this weekend would help in a must win game, but would like to see lonie back in with his run would be handy as port are a good running side

The boys worked well last weekend and the forward struckure looked fairly solid. Bringing in someone who can kick a bag and is as close to a perfect kick at goal as imaginable.

Last week was a must win and we bought in 4 or 5 new player (2 debut) in the "must win" against St Kilda.

We are currently working out or best 22, and it is pretty hard to ignore a guy who can get an 8 goal haul at VFL level and is in the running for the collingwood VFL best and fairest!

The only way to know if he is any good is by giving him a shot and he has played excellently all season and deserves a shot at a perminant spot in the side.

Cook, McCarthy, Toovey and Goldsack.
For: O'Bree, Lonie, Macaffer and Holland.

If we were to go for our best 22

Danny Stanley might also get a go before the season is out if he recovers from sore back that kept him out last week

I forgot about Wood and he probably deserves to come back into the side.

Goldsack doesn't get enough of the ball but he got a few tackles on the weekend, certainly could stay but I wouldn't say in our best 22.

Just a matter of opinion I ugess but Wood is a good threat up forward and is our best hit out ruckman, he's also pretty mobile.

But most likely Goldy will play again this week

Well we just bought in Ryan Cook, Chris Dawes (to debut), John Macarthy (to debut) Considering the 5 inclusions last week I really don't think it will matter. Currently we just need to find out our current best 22. After all Rocca is returning for finals and same with Reid so our team will change around then anyway.

Cook and Macarthy probably won't keep their spots in the side this week. But Dawes probably will after a pretty solid debut.

Its pretty hard to ignore anyone who can get an 8 goal haul. Macaffer will probably get the reserves best and fairest.

Also Lonie's run would be handy to have back.

Macaffer can't play seniors for Collingwood.
He is on the Rookie list and Collingwood placed Rusling on the long term injury list yesterday before the deadline. I don't know if this means they can no longer promote off the rookie list though.

I heard he was promoted from the rookie list. So I think we imght have another long term injury?

I know Dick is out and Rusling and Thoolan are out for the season also.

After a blinder like that pretty hard to overlook him!
