He said She said discussion.

A. His contracted and Collingwood won't release his contract.
B. His jumper sold 2:1 of Buckley's last year, where else is he going to get that?
C. Watch him play footy, he just loves it. His smart enough not to risk losing what is now a permanent spot.
D. Collingwood and the rest of the AFL aren't going to be dumb enough to send a star to the premiers further bettering their list??
E. Selwood or Hawkins?? Ha Ha Ha
As if Geelong are going to risk destabilising their playing group. Look at what happened after they traded Moloney to Melb. Believe me their were a lot of unhappy teammates.

Im not a 100 percent sure, but doesnt he come from up that way???
I dont think he will leave all players love to stay at the club where they started and collingwood will never want to loose him the kids absolutely love him... His becomig the marketing face for them...
Go Pies bloody fire up...

This is where all the unfounded rumours start from. Daisy isnt going nowhere ! It really is sad when a player cannot allegedly have cup of cofee with someone and already people are thinking trade.!Sorry jared you are dead wrong there. As for Hawkins we have Travie who has far more potential and already won a Copeland. What has Hawkins done?

I'm not saying that Hawkins is great yet, he just has potential. Certainly not worth trading Thomas for. Just in my view the only 2 players from Geelong with potential to go to the next level in future seasons are himself and Selwood.

Also Hawkins is rediculously huge for such a young player, really no1 is bigger for his age! He shed tons of kilos and with a bit more speed he should make quite a player.

He certainly didn't play today like he wants to stay at Collingwood- he was **** and cost us 2 goals.
Janine from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 20 Jun 2008 13:57hide comment
Will never happen - too much sponsorship $$$$$ to lose if he left Collingwood

was a massive Geelong fan as a kid. Seriously i wouldnt care if he wanted to go there and be traded. Trade him for Stevie J or Harry Taylor and Prismall.

I really wouldn't trade Thomas for anyone on the geelong list. He has so much potential and a 15 year carear at the top level. Ablett at this stage in his carear was at about the same position and should turn into a simular player.

I guess Selwood for Thomas, but anyone else definately NO. Thomas is just a spark which we need and without him we won't have that speed through the midfield.

Also Tom Hawkins is will be really great from Geelong, huge body and will be a star, but Thomas fits Collingwood great and not worth trading.

How many recievers can 1 side have though? Im being a tad harsh on him and i know he has STACKS of potential but seriously he has never put his head over the ball and waits outside the packs for a easy kick.
Hopefully sooner or later he will do this.
Tom Hawkins... key FF.... sounds like something a certain club needs....

They are the only 2 players I would consider trading Thomas for but still Thomas is way above Hawkins league. He the biggest guy going around for his age and with a bit of speed will be a force for the cats in future seasons. Selwood getting the rising star would be cool to have alongside Pendlebury and would be the only realistic trade choice. But even so Thomas and Pendlebury together explosiveness and class... great combo! Thomas will learn to get those hard balls but first needs some more size which he is certainly getting. He's put on a few kilos and hasn't lost any speed. So certainly an element he can bring into his game in future seasons. He by no means is the complete package but he will get there and looks to be improving at an incredible rate. Also possibly the best kick in wet weather, quite incredible.

I think Thomas is superb. He just needs some coaching mentally. Soooo much enthusiasm for the ball and the ability to go with it. BUT his timing and sense of what is happening around him needs cultivation. He is so keen and dedicated. Give him time and he will be a champion long term.

i agree...but he needs some for hardness tho
Christopher from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 18 Jun 2008 20:46hide comment
He actually has incredible mental toughness he can actually sprint till he spews. He just doesn't have the right mentality going into the contests and has to work on his tackling pressure and in and under stuff. Pendlebury improved his tackling pressure now Thomas' turn, he can easily be turned around like Leon Davis has in that department and will be able to run anyone down
