We should start playing Fraser as a forward!
Fraser I heard at some stage in the game today has only won 10 of his past 40something hitouts. He has incredible mobility, but none the less I think he would make for a very dangerous option up forward. We have great small forwards in Davis, Medhurst and Didak. To complete out forward line Fraser would be great. And today without Rocca putting Fraser forward would have been great, then Bryan and Wood can share the ruck. Sure Fraser can still ruck and rotate with Bryan and Wood, but I really think Fraser would be more suited as a key forward. Just think how many defenders can stop a 202cm 100kg giant?
Thoughts?

Josh isn't a great marking target though. IMO he gets out marked to often & he spills too many that he really should hang on to. He doesn't really crunch the packs like you need your big forward to do.

Fair point Martin,
he has been trained all these years to be a ruckman and lacks the forward experience.
I think if we train him to play as a forward he could be used to greater effect a get those grabs.
Your right he isn't that great overhead but with a bit of training I think he can become quite a strong overhead player.
Just we have to change his focus from his ruckwork and put it into marking then he could be used to great effect in the forward line.

^_^
I love his mobility but we really need to play Wood as ruckman. He is easily our best ruckman. Sure we can still play Fraser in ruck for bits during the match but his early play in his carear down forward looked really promising and I think he would be best placed there.
Any other opinions when Rocca is absent about the 3 ruck rotation of Fraser, Bryan and Wood. (1 plays forward, 1 plays ruck and the other on bench) and rotate at will.

Just think about it peoples, does anything really think that Matthew Scarlett or Darren Glass will beat Fraser in the air. Fraser is over 2m and I think would be a great threat against Geelong or Hawthorn. This move of 1 ruck forward would mean that other teams would be forced to play a ruckman at full back and it would create another large target to help the dominant small forward.

What the team could have looked like today with Fraser forward. Also notice I included Goldsack, I included players that were available today, but this team isn't necessarily the best team for today. Melbourne were missing their tall forwards so clearly you wouldn't include so many tall defenders. Remembering that Pendlebury, Rocca, Lonie, Dick, Prestigiacomo and Holland are all unavaliable to play. Just imagine it was with this weeks players available playing off against Geelong or Hawthorn. This would be my team of choice. This is just illustrating what the team COULD look like if Fraser were to be used up forward.
