Take a look at all the players we have drafted in recent years, that make a regular appearance in the center: Pedals, Dale and Wood. All are tallish, skillful and very capable at their role in the midfield but its hard to say that we have any players (with the exception of Medhurst, Didak and Leon) who can replace Scotties ability in dishing it out to the run of Thomas or Ben Johnson for example. In past weeks we have thrown Medhurst, Didak and Leon into the center mix and they all have preformed well in replacing Scotty but i think what we find is when you take players from the forward line and put them in the center, your forward line will start to struggle!! We might have got away with it playing the Dons on friday but this weeks clash with Hawthorn and their senior mid-fielders might tell a different story if we don't have Scotty
